Many products not subject to GOST-R certification still require another form of mandatory certification: Declaration of Conformity.
Products exempt from mandatory certification still may, and quite often are, submitted for Voluntary Certification. A Voluntary Certificate of GOST_R Conformity is processed exactly as the mandatory one, and is very helpful for the marketing of the product.
There are several certification formats, or “schemes”. Typically, a GOST certificate is issued either for one shipment, or for unlimited shipment throughout a period of 1 to 5 years, or for one unit.
